The... | Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahmoud Abuali, The Image of the Night in Salah Abdel-Sabour's Poetry …………55 - 105 Abstract: This research aims to discuss the image of the night as the tool of imagery that enables us to discover the psychological world of Salah Abdel-Sabour. He uses the image of the night according to his psychological state. He uses the image of the night as the time of reflection and contemplation of the universe and life، as the cause of sorrows and worries، as the source of pleasure where lovers meet، and as the symbol of death and the end of life cycle. The image of the night in Salah Abdel-Sabour's poems is characterized by expressive and evocative values that express his inner and outer world. In addition، it expresses his attitude towards time because of the implicit connotations in his poetic writings. This research proves that the image of the night in Salah Abdel-Sabour's poetry is the most profound in comparison to his Arab predecessors. This is due to the Western poetic tools and influences that affected his poetic writings. This research adopts the technical method in the poetic analysis and the descriptive method in tracing، analyzing، and interpreting the images of the night. The... | Dr. Radja Mestour & Soumia Fekır, The Image of the East in Contemporary World Cinema-"Aladdin" the Movie (2019) as a Model- ……………… 106 - 127 Abstract: There are many images of Arabs and Muslims in Orientalist productions of various kinds, especially the cinema -American in particular. Considering the image of the East as the right place to present the duality of East and West, and the stereotyping of the East as the different and less valuable “Other” than the West. This latter’s desire to change the East necessarily leads to the confiscation of the property of the Easterner by changing its most important possession, which is identity. This alienation - whether apparent or hidden - is a form of negative Orientalism that insists that the eastern is in need modification it in order to reach western civilization. This is clear through the study model, the Disney "Aladdin" (2019), which tried to change the old East image under the guise of miraculous and amazing magic instead of the violent terrorism. Both images attempt to change the Eastern identity, which will cost it the right of its own properties that are supposed to be fake in front of the audience. Nevertheless, the matter remained a debate whether this was intended or not in Orientalism to such an extent that it cannot be hidden. Sem... | Kanatbek OROZOBEKOV, Semantic Change in al-Mu'jamu'l-Arabi el-Esâsî ……………69-204 Abstract: Each language has its own vocabularies that describe the meanings and connotations of words. The Arabic language also has its own dictionaries such as " al-'Ayn", " Lisan al-Arab", "Et-Tehzib al-Luga", "Qamus al-Muhit", "Taj al-Arus". Among the modern Arabic dictionaries, which is intended for native speakers and learners, is a dictionary called "al-Mujamu'l-Arabiyyu’l-Esasi", which was published in 1988 and prepared and written by a group of senior Arabic linguists on behalf of the Arab Organization for education, culture and science. This dictionary, as stated in its introduction, is intended for non-Arabic speakers who have reached an intermediate or advanced level in their study of the Arabic language. It is also an assistant for lecturers and university students, and the general Arab intellectuals and other non-native learners of the Arabic language. It is a dictionary interested in addressing the Semantic change that occurred in some of the words that were mentioned in it. This is what made me study this phenomenon in it, and I used the descriptive-analytical method, as I demonstrate and analyzed the vocabularies found in the Mujemul-Arabiyyu'l-Esasi dictionary, which indicated that a Semantic Change occurred in it. A l... | Dr. Mohamed Aly Abdelrazeq Zalalo, A letter from a morisco from Granada to the King of Spain Defeding the Arabic Language and Islamic Traditions …………………………….. 205-231 Abstract: This paper is focused on the translation of an original manuscript in old Castilian into Arabic language. The original manuscript of 1567 is preserved in the “Biblioteca Nacional de España” (BNE) titled “Memorial del caballero morisco Francisco Núñez..” addressing the King of Spain Felipe II the need to defend the preservation of the inherited cultural legacy of the use of the Arabic language and customs of the Moorish population. The original author of this manuscript is the Moorish Francisco Núñez Mulay. The reason that moved to the moriscos for writing of this Memorial was providing clear factual difficulties that the moriscos of Granada suffered on the course of compliance with the regulations of the Pragmática Sanción of 1566. This paper has enriched the translation from the old Castilian language to Arabic including a brief key research that would substantially benefit the Arabic readers. In summary, I trust this translation would suit to improve the long cultural boundaries and diverse heritage between the Arabic and Spanish common legacy.
